Zombies-a-go-go!

There’s been a lot that I’ve been meaning to add/update, but I’ve been short on time to.

So, its that time now for the Dead Flesh comic book series to come to life and feast on the flesh of the living. I mean, it’s been illastrated as we speak. Below are the first two panels (please note that the pictures where taken via camera phone) well, be adding more and more so you all can get a sneak peak at the upcoming zombie series.

Also, with some time on my hands I’ve gone back and begun rewriting “Road Kill.” Gave the baby a new bloody first act with enough gore and slaughter to please Charlie Manson.

I also thought I’d ask that anyone of you whose a what’cha-ma-call it…a reader, please check out the book Dead Worlds 6 out now thru Living Dead Press. It features a short story written by Dead Flesh / Road Kill co-writer Kevin D. Millikin

Welcome to a world where the dead walk.

The living dead are once more on the prowl for the living and the world will never be the same again.

Like the bloated corpse of a freshly buried body, the stories in this anthology will leave you cringing with disgust.

Filled with gut munching gore and intestine tearing tales of the living dead, you may just find yourself tasting bile by the end.

But don’t be afraid, it’s only a book, the dead don’t really walk.

Or do they?

You can pick up a copy of the book HERE

Until then,

Like I hinted at in the previous update, there are a lot of new and exciting things taking shape over here. First of all, is the intended feature film “Road Kill” originally set as a short film due to begin production in the summer of 2010, we’ve decided to cancel the intended shooting dates and push it back an entire year! Why? Because every time I, (Kevin) would sit down and work on another draft, either the characters wouldn’t pop out from the page enough, or their back story remained too foggy for the reader to understand. So, in attempts to rewrite and fix my orginal errors, every draft would slowly fill out and gain more and more flesh and bones until the final draft written equaled out to be just a mere 40 pages away from a proper full length screenplay.
With that in mind, I brought on board my dear friend, Jeff Meek to help me complete those final pages while I tackled some short stories for Living Dead Press and while on the subject of zombies (a subject both he and I are passionate about) we concocted the world of “Dead Flesh.” First as a screenplay and then as a comic series and as of writing this, I am very proud to say that the first issue of DF is near completion and that the first issue should be reaching stores and online retailers in a matter of months and with any luck we’ll get it into your hands sometime before June/July.
But in order to release to comic book ourselves, those of us involved have teamed up to bring you; Evil Owl Press as a small imprint of Tales of Horror Productions. Our goal is to publish high quality horror, sci-fi and dark fantasy novels as well as anthologies, novellas and comic books! While we are not excepting submissions at this moment as we are in the process of gearing up for our first comic book release in the shape of “Dead Flesh” as well as the issues that shall follow.
Also through Evil Owl, we’re also going to be releasing an anthology come later this summer as well, entitled “Tales of Horror Vol. 1” that will feature a more general selection of horror. Submissions for that will be announced in the near future and until then we are not excepting submissions. However, if you would like to inquire about either project please email us as talesofhorrorproductions@gmail.com
And PLEASE KNOW that all the profits from the Dead Flesh / Evil Owl Press will be used to fund our feature film “Road Kill” come the summer of 2011.

Until then…

What’s up with Tales Of Horror!

Hell-o guys and ghouls,

Some of you might have noticed that much hasn’t been happening here at ToH, so here’s the lowdown.

The ‘Tales Of Horror Productions’ short film “Road Kill” has gone under a small, yet hellish transformation. We’re taking the original script 43 page script and redrafting it into a feature length film, sadly because of that we’re unable to reach our filming deadline this summer, pushing the entire project back roughly a year or so.

Secondly, writer/director Kevin D. Millikin has called on friend and fellow horror fiend, Jeff Meek to co-write the project with him. The original script will still be posted for your reading pleasure just as soon as it is edited.

In the meantime, we have a couple more projects in the works including a 4 part comic book miniseries entitled “Dead Flesh” that is currently being penned by both Kevin and Jeff and another super secret book in the works.

We’ll spill our guts about it once the blood dries on the details.

Until then we’re hellishly yours,

-Tales Of Horror Productions.
